Message from Team Captain PecanPie

Hello SU2C team!

As most of you know, the next Stand Up to Cancer broadcast will air this Friday, Sept. 5th 8PM EDT/ 5 PM PDT. In addition, September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month which makes this the perfect time to donate to the Crush Kids' Cancer team. We've already raised over $92K and we'd like to break the $100K mark this year. The closer we can get to this mark by the broadcast, the louder the voice we give to this still underfunded group of patients.

For those of you who have already donated, thank you so much for your generosity! If you haven't had the chance to donate, you can click HERE to donate!

With a team membership over 1100, even a $1 donation can help, but if you'd like to show your support with or without donating, please join our Thunderclap through your Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr account by clicking HERE!

A HUGE "Thank You" to Ashley, President of The Kids' Chapter for spearheading the thunderclap and this year's fundraising campaign.

OK. Go Getters, Go Get 'Em!

Pecan Pie out!

Crush Kids' Cancer: David Archuleta's Angels 2014 Summer Fundraising Challenge

In the past, Stand Up 2 Cancer would a 2-week long summer fundraising challenge right before their televised broadcast. This year, although SU2C will be doing their broadcast on September 5, 2014, they are not hosting a fundraising challenge like years past.

So, I thought, just because SU2C isn't doing a challenge, that doesn't mean Crush Kids' Cancer can't!

Starting today, August 22, until Stand Up 2 Cancer's broadcast on September 5, Crush Kids' Cancer: David Archuleta's Angels will be doing our own fundraising challenge! Our goal is to raise as much money as we can for Crush Kids' Cancer within these two weeks!

To donate, click the big, orange DONATE button on the right, then click the red DONATE NOW button on our team page!

We want to see those numbers going up over the next 2 weeks, so please donate! No amount is too small and all of the proceeds go to Stand Up 2 Cancer to help find a cure! If you are unable to donate, we always appreciate spreading the word! Share with your friends and families, on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc!

Twitter Trending Party + Thunderclap

On Thursday, September 4, 2014, we want to trend on Twitter just like we did 2 years ago!

Trend: SU2C Crush Kids Cancer

Time: 9pm EST

Be sure to participate in our Thunderclap as well! We need at least 100 participants by September 2nd in order for our Thunderclap to happen! If you participate with Twitter, the tweets will be sent out on September 4th at 9pm EST during our trending party!
Crush Kids' Cancer's summer fundraising challenge starts... NOW!

Crush Kids' Cancer Bumper Sticker Project

Summer is just beginning and that means a new project from Crush Kids' Cancer: The Kids' Chapter!

For this project, all you have to do is purchase a Crush Kids' Cancer bumper sticker on our Zazzle store, display it somewhere (your car, your office, your room, etc.) and send us a picture! Buy one for every car you own, buy one for all of your office workers, give them as gifts at a BBQ! Be creative and spread the word!

Bumper Stickers cost $5.00 each and we receive 25% of the proceeds. That 25% will be donated to Crush Kids' Cancer: David Archuleta's Angels.

Email us your pictures and be sure to also post them on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc. and tweet us @TheKidsChapter!

The goal is to sell as many bumper stickers as possible, spread the word and raise as much for Crush Kids' Cancer as we can!

'Welcome Back, David' Mission

Crush Kids' Cancer: The Kids' Chapter is about to set out on our own mission just before David gets back from his!

In case you haven't heard, David is due to come home from his mission at the end of this month. The Kids' Chapter has decided that as a Welcome Back present for David, we're about to begin our own fundraising mission! Starting Monday, March 17, 2014, our goal is to get as many donations to Crush Kids' Cancer: David Archuleta's Angels as possible. This project will run until April 1, 2014 and we will announce the total amount that was raised, as well as let David know about this wonderful Welcome Back gift from all of his fans!

To donate, go HERE and click Donate To This Team. Remember, no amount is too small! And if you aren't able to donate, you can always simply help us spread the word about this new project! We appreciate all forms of support! :)

An Important Mission for Go-Getters!

Here's a message from Crush Kids' Cancer team captain PecanPie about a special mission for all of you go-getters!

message from Stand Up 2 Cancer team captain Pecan Pie of team - Crush Kids' Cancer - David Archuleta's Angels:

Greetings Survivors, Supporters, Go-Getters! I have an extra-special "mission" for the next 10 people who can be in NYC by 7:45am Wed, March 19. SU2C is launching a campaign, called “The Baton Pass,” with a live segment on Good Morning America in Times Square on Wednesday, March 19th. The survivors/advocates will be passing a special relay baton with a button that’s pressed to log each time the baton changes hands. For each pass of the baton, Siemens will donate one dollar to SU2C, up to $1 million. - Participants will need to be on-site outside GMA’s Times Square studio at 7:45 a.m. - Segment will be filmed around 8:30 a.m. - SU2C will provide SU2C and “The Baton Pass” t-shirts for survivors/advocates to wear - Participants should be finished and free to go by 9:30 a.m. Shoot me a message here at SU2C or at my twitter @pecanpie by Thursday if you can make it. Peace out!
